pictures she so graciously shared; to Clara Garrett Fountain for the
preservation of the Garrett Family History compiled by her father many
years ago; my mother, Inez Wilson Daughtrey Hagen, and her sister,
Ethel Daughtrey Ellis, for the Daughtrey legacy they helped to preserve
from their Aunt Emily Christine Daughtrey; and to all the many others
who have contributed to this story.
The Hagens herein came from Lancaster Co., PA to Richmond, VA some 100
years ago while the Adkins remained in Pittsylvania Co., VA for several
hundred years.
